Our Story: Honoring Richard Thomas Buonato

The Richard Thomas Buonato Foundation was established in loving memory of a man whose life embodied compassion, generosity, and service. Richard Buonato was a devoted husband, father, and friend who spent his life giving back — from donating to St. Jude’s and supporting local charities to advocating for education and veterans in need.

Born and raised in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, Richard’s life was marked by compassion, generosity, and resilience. He contributed to numerous charitable organizations, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and remained a strong advocate for community-focused initiatives. Even in the face of serious health challenges, he continued to inspire those around him with his courage and dedication to family and service.

The foundation reflects the values Richard held dear—love, kindness, and giving back. Through educational programs, mentorship, and direct support, the organization works to carry his legacy forward by making a meaningful impact on underprivileged youth and veterans in need.

Where Change Begins

The foundation’s initiatives are designed to create lasting impact, uplift lives, and instill hope. By fostering education, mentorship, and support, the foundation paves the way for a brighter future for underprivileged young women and veterans. Together, we are making a difference, turning aspirations into achievements.
